ABORTION IS THE BEST METHOD FOR UNWANTED PREGNANCIES

         When we talk about abortion, there are barriers in this issue whether it is legal or not to perform in government hospitals.Although it is consider as the best method for unwanted pregnancies for some women who have been raped or unmarried young girls, this is strictly based on medical reasons and the risk to perform the abortion. A study found that there is very restricted accessibility to legal abortion in most government hospitals. When abortions are provided in government hospitals, this is strictly based on medical reasons and not according to the full permissibility of the Penal Code. Some women who have been raped and women with foetuses with congenital abnormalities have been reported to have been refused abortion and referred to private hospitals or clinics. In one Kuala Lumpur public hospital, an extreme reluctance to perform any kind of legal abortion was reported. Furthermore, experiences with women seeking help from women NGOs showed that some low-income, young, unmarried and disadvantaged women have been refused safe, legal and affordable abortion from government hospitals in Kuala Lumpur. 

      According to a survey among government doctors,62% of the 120 doctors and nurses suggested abortion to the unwanted pregnancies, only 38% responded that such women should continue the pregnancy and either look after the baby themselves or give it up for adoption rather than consider having an abortion. Other barriers are the misconception of service providers on Muslim fatwas on abortion and the prohibition of the Vatican on abortion. The fatwa in Malaysia, as in many of the 57 Muslim countries globally, allow abortion for health and welfare reasons up to four months. However, this is also not widely known. Yet, irrespective of personal and religious beliefs, providers need to respect the civil law and women's choices. No guidance exists on these ethical issues.

      Lastly, abortion is found to be the best way for unwanted pregnancies among the young and unmarried women who involved in sex before marriage and those who are raped victims. Abortion is also being performed by married couples who feel that complications may occur if they continue the pregnancies.  

Smoking should be banned...

      Most people,especially men who are 13 to 40 years and above,they smoke cigarette.They love smoking because it helps to feel relax or release tension.The smoke from the cigarette can leave negative effects to the smokers or people around them who inhale the cigarette smoke.I agree that smoking should be banned  because it causes health problems,affecting the people around and can cause immature birth.
      Firstly,smoking should be banned because it is harmful to our health.Smoking can cause infections of diseases such as heart diseases,heart attack,bronchitis,asthma, mouth cancer and lung cancer.This is because the nicotine in the cigarette contain chemicals which are harmful.Futhermore,it might shorten their lives due to the intake of tar in their lungs that goes to the alveoli.Therefore,we must keep away from smoking because it can create health problems.
      Besides that,smoking can affect people around because they smoke in the public.They also smoke at the bus stop,in the restaurants and other public places. Smokers still have to spend quite an amount of money to buy cigarettes although the government had warned the smokers the danger of smoking.Smoking should be banned in all public places.
      In addition,smoking also can cause immature birth.The baby may experience defection in brain or internal part of the body.The development or growth will be affected as well and this can lead to the birth of a low-weight baby and all the risks and complications that will occur. A low-weight baby is more likely to be placed in intensive care once it has been born.Apart from that,the baby will tend to be mentally retarded.As such, they need to prevent themselves from smoking because it can deteriorate baby birth.
      As for conclusion, smoking should to be banned because it brings negative effects not only to the smokers but the people around them. When they do not smoke, they could prevent themselves from diseases.Health would be assured to the people around them who are not smoking, thus producing a healthy generation.
